Q1 - You need to identify specific examples of magazines where you have identified these particular conventions. So for example, you state that 'The conventions of a pop magazine are normally along the basis of using bright colours...' This isn't sufficient. I want to see magazines that use this convention, then I want you to actually show an example of this. If you have carried out your research appropriately - this will already be on your blog - you just need to go back and find it and screen shot it. I want to see visual evidence of you identifying conventions from existing magazines and then I want to see screen shots of how you have actually used or manipulated these conventions in your own product, with an explanation as to why you have decided to use this particular convention, or why you have decided to challenge or manipulate it. Don't just list the conventions or list the ones that you have used or haven't used; you must fully explain why you have made these decisions.
Q2 - Be careful - you're not really answering the question here Munpreet. This question is not about your target audience; it is about the people being represented in your magazine - what is your magazine saying about young, teenage Asian women/men? What are you saying about people who like pop music and like the things you are presenting in the magazine?
Q3 - More needed here. You need to consider websites that might sell or promote your magazine as well as companies that might sell or promote your magazine. Which shops in particular might sell your magazine - consider your target audience here - which shops do they shop in? Which websites do they visit? Which websites might link with the content in the magazine?
Q4 - A much more detailed profile needed here. You might want to make mention of your initial audience research here and comment on what else you learnt about your target audience from this research. What does this audience like/dislike? Consider age, gender, ethnicity, class, interests etc.
Q5 - You need to link this answer to your previous one. You should have built up a detailed character profile of your target audience in the previous response so now you need to consider how you have tried to target these people through the image, the colour, the font, the content etc. Much of this should already have been considered and explained in your research and planning process so you should just be able to go back through your blog and find evidence of this. Again, screen shots of examples would be better here rather than just written text. Make sure you come back to the question - how do these features target your audience? Why would these features engage your target audience?
Q6 - This would be so much more powerful if you could have a video or screen shots to support the points you are making. I would like to see evidence of you actually using these softwares and tools with you explaining how they have been used and why. What effects did they enable you to achieve? Try not to just list things - think carefully about specific examples and provide a more detailed and visual explanation of how you used these technologies.
Q7 - You need to do more than just state you understand things better now. How exactly do you understand things differently? What exactly have you learnt and developed? this would be better if you could make visual links between the school magazine and your final music products. Put them side by side and comment on how you used certain features in the preliminary task and then explain how you have used them now in your final product with an explanation about what you learnt, and how you learnt it. Comment on your understanding of particular softwares, programmes, technologies as well as understanding about research and how it influences ideas, understanding of layout and colour and font etc. Much more needed here.
